Easy Homemade Butter
INGREDIENTS
600ml pure cream
Salt to taste
DIRECTIONS
Pour the pure cream into the bowl of your stand mixer. Beat on medium speed until the cream starts to thicken, then increase speed to medium-high.
Once it starts to seperate and becomes a bit rough, turn it on low until the butter forms together leaving buttermilk in the bowl.
Once the butter and buttermilk have completely separated and settled to the bottom of the bowl, stop the mixer.
Prepare a bowl with ice in it. Pull the butter out and put it into a cold water. This keeps your butter cold so it is easy to manage.
Begin squeezing your butter until all the buttermilk is removed.
Once your butter is clean, salt to taste, shape it then wrap it up in baking paper or place it in a butter dish.
Pour the buttermilk into a jar and save it for recipes such as pancakes!
